Motorhome owners required for starring security role

Octavian, one of the country’s foremost security providers to the outside broadcast industry, says it needs people to man sites nationwide, to join the many who have already forged part time roles in security.

Tony Mellor, commercial director of Octavian, said: “This is a superb opportunity and will offer something a bit different to the usual pitches at the seaside or country parks.

“Full training will be given, including health and safety, site egress and access procedures, and security processes, but the main task will be to ensure that sites are secure – with the support of Octavian’s key personnel, of course.

“It will be a challenging but exciting role. Our staff have the opportunity to watch sporting events take place, see TV programmes and films being made, plus perhaps even meet a few stars, whilst ensuring that no unwanted intruders enter restricted areas.”

Octavian is the UK market leader in outside broadcast security, working with the leading media broadcasters on many of the world’s major sporting and other events, such as concerts and festivals.

The company’s staff have provided security for innumerable high profile events, such as the Boat Race and Royal Ascot, and Octavian is the sole provider of outside broadcast security services to the BBC.
