Corps Security appoints new chairman and non-executive director
02 Feb 10
Corps Security has announced that Clive Ward, non-executive director of Corps Security since 2007, will succeed Major General Anthony Leask as the company’s chairman. Leask will remain a member of the Board.
Ward has held executive board roles within Rentokil Initial for over eight years with responsibility across 29 international business units including manned and electronic security.
In addition to his chairmanship at Corps Security, Ward is a director of PeoplePlanner Ltd, managing director with Titan Brokerage and a school governor.
Rear Admiral Trevor Spires CBE has also joined the Corps Security board as a non-executive director.
Spires retired from the Royal Navy in 2009 and has subsequently been appointed a non-executive director of The National Archives and Hampshire Primary Care Trust.
He is managing director of Supporting Strategies Ltd, a change consultancy, and is a Gateway Review team leader of the Office of Government Commerce.
Richard Moule, CEO of Corps Security, said: “Major General Anthony Leask has been an outstanding chairman over the last 10 years, guiding the company through some of the most challenging periods in its 150 year history.
“I have appreciated his support over the past three years and am sure that Clive will be a worthy successor and I am confident that we will work successfully together on the next phase of Corps Security’s growth.
“I am delighted to welcome Rear Admiral Trevor Spires to the board. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of the defence sector, a significant area of growth for Corps Security.”
