Advance celebrates award nominations
04 Feb 10
Two Advance Security teams have gone through to the national judging stage of the BSIA’s ‘Security Personnel Awards’ in April 2010.
Advance teams serving the Northwest’s Imperial War Museum North (IWMN) and Castleford’s huge leisure and entertainment destination, Xscape, both scooped the ‘Best Team’ accolade in their respective regional heats.
Officers at IWMN were recognised for their part in helping The Museum to become 2009’s ‘Best Large Visitor Attraction’ in the North West Tourism Awards; while the 14-strong Xscape team was commended by West Yorkshire Police for its contribution in seeing an 87% reduction in crime in the area.
“Both teams have helped clients achieve impressive tangible results,” said Advance Security’s regional operations manager, north, Harry Robinson.
“This is testament to their commitment and willingness to always go the extra mile. The teams are a great asset to Advance and the awards a reflection of the calibre of the service they provide.
“We’re immensely proud that their hard work has been formally recognised and have every confidence that we can do equally as well in the national ‘leg’ come April.
“In the meantime, we look forward to continuing to work with IWMN and Xscape to deliver a first class customer service and enjoyable visitor experiences.”
The recently re-branded ‘BSIA Security Personnel Awards’ – formerly known as The British Security Industry Association Security Officer Awards – celebrate excellence in the security guarding sector. Advance Security joins a number of other regional contenders to take home the National ‘Best Team’ Award which will be presented at the BSIA Annual Lunch in July.
