Nikaro partners with Omni Security to offer canine units
11 Jul 10
Nikaro, the national key holding and response service network, has partnered with Omni Security Services to offer canine units to end user customers. Brian Sims reports.
The Nikaro network is made up of over 200 nationally-based service partners tasked to deliver a multitude of key holding and associated security services on a local basis.
This recent addition of Omni Security will serve to further expand Nikaro’s services, and the canine units will be used in situations when the additional deterrent of a guard dog and dog handlers are required.
The partnership will also secure the provision of specialist search dogs, managed by highly-trained handlers, for assignments requiring the detection of explosives, firearms or drugs.
Canine units as part of the end user service
Commercial manager at Nikaro, Angie Nicolls, told SMT Online: “At Nikaro, we’re constantly evolving as a company in response to our customers’ needs. We’re delighted that we are now able to offer canine units as part of our service.”
Nicolls continued: “The canine units will provide a valuable addition to our mobile patrols, and will be used to deter theft or damage and confront threatening behaviour.”
Nikaro has over 200 accredited local service partners providing services to a wide range of UK organisations from government agencies to High Street retailers, and from local business to major corporates with multiple sites across the country.
The company was established in 1996 with a view to providing the most comprehensive key holding and response services in the industry.
Security Industry Authority-listed Approved Contractor
All service partners are fully compliant with all important industry standards, with Nikaro itself a Security Industry Authority (SIA)-listed Approved Contractor.
Nikaro boasts over 1,200 trained security professionals working for over 200 local service partners. The Nikaro network is controlled by a national Operations Centre and a 24-hour SOS Help Desk.
