Security Excellence Awards: finalists announced this week!
17 Jul 08
All the entries for the 2008 Security Excellence Awards are in – a record number – and the shortlisted finalists will be announced, here on I4S, next week.
The Security Innovation of the Year category broke all previous records for an individual award. And this year, for the first time, Security Manufacturer of the Year will be decided by public vote, right here on info4security.com.
SMT editor Brian Sims said: “This is going to be the biggest and best ever Security Excellence Awards, in my opinion. One of the interesting things this year is that there were a large number of companies who have never entered the Awards before, and their entries were extremely strong.
“A new category, ACS Champion of the Year, proved very successful. It attracted a broad spread of entries, from door supervision companies right through to medium and large size guarding firms.”
Security Installer editor Alan Hyder agreed: “This looks like being the most competitive, closest run Security Excellence Awards I have seen. Judging this is becoming a more difficult task each year as the standard gets higher.
“We’re really pleased that the public is getting the opportunity to vote for Manufacturer of the Year, and we are anticipating a big response from visitors to I4S.”
Keep checking back on info4security.com next week to find out who the shortlisted finalists. You’ll read the news here first.
