IP sets sail with ‘infotainment’
04 Jun 09
Installers who are involved with CCTV on board ships are being invited to set sail for Oslo to attend the Nor-Shipping 2009 show.
Maritime security presents big opportunities for IP-trained installers and security systems are often combined with “infotainment” – information and entertainment on board.
Specialising in this area, Zenitel Marine offers Vingtor video surveillance systems that can work as stand-alone security or as part of a fully integrated advanced system.
A wide range of Zenitel’s specialist cameras for different ship environments will be on show at Nor-Shipping (June 9-12).
Zenitel’s Vingtor IPTV and “infotainment” systems are made for marine use and aimed at crew welfare and giving on-board information services.
The data network connects TV sets in cabins and other areas to central entertainment and service areas.
It includes HD TV, video on demand, internet, games and PC on TV.
Both the surveillance and the “infotainment” systems work via the Vingtor data networking and cabling system, giving customers a complete package.
Zenitel is offering complimentary tickets to the show.
