Samsung Techwin doubles recording capacity

The 2TB HDDs will now offer up to 8TB total internal storage.

Peter Ainsworth, European product manager, said it gave “far greater flexibility either in terms of recording and storing a large quantity of video or to record the same quantity at a higher image quality level.

“What’s more, with our SVS series of external storage devices, a total of 24TB storage can be recorded from our DVRs and up to 40TB from our NVRs”.

It put the company “firmly on the map for enterprise level recording solutions”.

2TB HDD upgrade kits are also available to allow easy to implement on-site upgrades of units that form part of existing CCTV projects.
