ATG looks to installer market with latest bollard
13 Mar 08
ATG Access is about to unveil a new bollard aimed at both the self install and professional access control markets, describing its launch as “the most exciting thing in bollards since the SP1000 stopped a truck”.
At £1500 each, the ISO 9001:2000 bollards have been designed for easy installation, featuring a plug and play interface, modular design and high speed service interchange.
“ATG Access currently has a large share of the global market for rising bollards but has been aware, as the bollard marketplace matured in Europe, that they needed to offer something to the re-seller or installer marketplace,” a spokesperson said. “This bollard is it.”
Available as an off-the-shelf solution, the automatic bollards will allow installers to use their own access control and peripheral accessories. A range of optional add-ons is available, including Gem Glow lighting caps.

In tests at the TRL test facility in Wokingham, ATG’s ‘anti-terrorist’ bollard - SP1000 - successfully stopped a 7.5 tonne truck travelling at 50 mph.
ATG Access will be exhibiting the new product at InterTraffic Amsterdam at the start of April and then at IFSEC in May. To find out more, click here.
